Love n Mother tongue

Does a guy in love forget even his mother tongue sometimes?Atleast a few Tamil movie lyricists say so.

1) "Vaai mozhiyum enthan thai mozhiyum indru vaspadavillai adi"
Movie : Kaadhalan Song:Ennavale

2) "Pakkathil neeyum illai . Paarvaiyil eeram illai. sonthathil baashai illai"
Movie: Sigaram Song: Vannam konda vennilave

3) "latcham pale latcham ena thai mozhiyil solliruthum otha sollu sikkaville ethanale?"
Movie:Dishyume Song : Nenjankootil

Guys in love can clarify me :)

Kannan is an ambitious, unyielding and determined Engineer. He is a Tirunelvelian in heart and Chennaite in other aspects.Kannan is a gentle, soft and friendly guy to his friends and well wishers(pothuvaaga emmanasu thangam.Oru Pottiyinnu vanthu vitta singam.. He He.) Kannan is a silent guy to those who dont know him but a smart guy to those who know him well.Freedom and autonomy are the most important things for him in his life.He does only what he loves to do and always loves what he does.He cares a lot for his family n friends. He loves to be loved and cared. To him loneliness(emotionally) will be the greatest punishment. He believes strongly in God and Indian/Tamizh culture. He loves Tamizh, music and electronics above all.

PS
During HR interview round of our campus recruitment drive, one of my friends was asked "What is Sreeram?" (His name was Sreeram). It motivated me to write this blog.

My Experiments with Bikes

I have Dystychiphobia.thanks to google i could find the word for "Fear of Traffic".Right from my childhood i have been uneasy whenever i travel in busy traffic.Though i had some formal cycle training session from my dad when was in class 6,i never preferred to cycle even in Vallioor(A small town in Tamilnadu-my native place). To be honest i started cycling with confidence only after coming to IISc.So till now driving a bike has been something which i could only dream of.The sad part of the story is kutty (my younger brother ) had started driving bikes and it was really embarassing to me whenver this topic comes at home.So i started of with the venture of learning bike driving in my BE holidays.I got one of my old school friends who was staying in vallioor and had a deal with him.I tuaght hime some Random process for one his tests and he promised to teach me driving. Our driving session started one fine afternoon when we took his dad's bike to "Rajapudhur road" a traffic free road(read no guys on the road). He took a lot of pain to explain me the system of clutch and gear.I was thinking"oh.this is damn simple man.hold the clutch ,up or down the gear".But as everyone else i couldnt start the bike and it was getting switched off in first gear whenever i tried to start. At the end of the first day the only thing i learnt about a bike was that it has a first gear which is really troublesome.
The training session continued for a few more days. But somehow i couldnt get the trick of starting a bike.So we both gave up and he commented "kannan..nee B.techlaya konjam konjam vandi oota padichirukkalam".
Then i came to IISc.first sem full of padips. In second sem i got relatively free and also got some close friends who owned bikes.Ramesh,my pal at IISc promised to make me a bike expert when i told him my previos bike experiences. So one afternoon myself and Ramesh took his AP29 B 9312, to IISc cricket ground and started the driving session. In less than 10 minutes a security guy came shouting that we are not allowed to drive bikes in the sports ground. So Ramesh decided that i should start driving directly on IISc roads. So we continued our driving session on IIsc roads.Once i was comfortable with starting the bike,Ramesh suggested me to use his bike whenever i goto my lab at nights(Only Nights to make sure that i dont play with the life of poor IISc junta). This night driving continued for almost a semester.
In third semester Kiran also brought his bike to IISc.Getting one more bike to experiment with,I started driving inside IISc in day times also.So now that i was able to drive decently,Ramesh suggested that i should drive outside IISc.But i was scared at the idea of driving in Bangalore traffic(Bagaloreans know why).Atlast last week a desperate situation demanded me to go outside IISc in bike.So i took Rakesh anna's bike, wore a helmet drove till Malleshwaram( a place close to IISc).Thus SAK,the Dystychiphobian started driving on Bangalore roads. Thanks to all my Bike tutors and bike donors(Surendar,Ramesh,Kiran,Guru,KBP,rakesh n many).Im indebted to them forever:)

Cellphonanandha and his Tapas

Once upon a time there lived a swamiji called Cellphonanandha. He performed a Tapas towards Lord Brahma. At the end of his Tapas Brahma appeared and told him that he will grant Cellphonanandha whatever he wants.

"The sweet sound of my cellphone should sound wherever i am,be in a classroom or a group meeting,be in a party or in a temple,be in a theatre or in my Lab.It may ring due to an incoming call or message. It may ring due to alarms or reminders.Everyone around me should be delighted hearing my ringtone." wished Cellphonanandha.

"thathastu" said Brahma.

I am seeing a lot of descendants of Cellphonanandha around me everyday. They jus let their cellphones shout anywhere and everywhere.May be one can forget to switch to silent mode occasionally. But some people jus dont want to use the silent mode. Why dont you people jus put your damn cell in silent mode atleast in public places and let others in peace?

Woes of a Hutchian

Scene 1
One fine morning our honorable researcher(referred henceforth as HR) is sound asleep when he gets a call from an unknown number. He lifts it and hears a voice saying "hello this is Rahul Dravid" from the other end.Jumping from the bed he starts listening seriously to what the person at the end says.It turns out to be an ad for some cricket related services Hutch(Bangalore) provide.Uttering a few curses, the frustrated researcher continues his sleep.

Scene 2:
Mr.S is busy preparing some X project report while he gets a message from Hutch which says"Recharge with 299 and get full talk time.Offer valid only for two days.Rush!!".He gets the same message ten times that day. Atlast he thinks "oh.this seems to be a good offer. Why dont i jus recharge".So he recharges for 299.Instantly he gets a message"Your recharge has been successful. You account has been refilled successfully by Rs.99.Your hutch prepaid balance is XXXX(Not to be revealed:) .The unfortunate and angry Mr.S has to call and blast the hutch care guys 100 times that week to get his remaining Rs.200 worth talktime.

Scene 3
Our researcher wanting to be free from all monthly recharging woes goes for an year long plan for Rs.XXX giving a talktime worth rupees Rs.XXX and XXXX free messages.Being so happy having XXXX free messages he starts sending "happy new year" to all his friends on the new year day.alas he is charged Re.1 a message..Shocked, he calls the customer care to report the mistake in billing. The customer care guy (its not even a babe:( ) replies

"Free message offers are not valid in special days,Sir?"
Honorable researcher: Since when..I was not informed abt this
Customer care guy :Sorry sir,we messaged all our customers a week back..May be you havent received that message
HR :Its again your fault,if i dint get the message..I think its your responsibility to inform ur customers properly..Ok atleast tell me what are the days you have marked as special days??
Custome care guy: its big list sir
HR : how am i supposed to know it..
Customer care guy :!?!
HR : a few blasts and cuts the call

To date our HR doesnt know the logic behind identifying some days as special..For hutch Father's day and Rakshabandhan were special days whereas Vinayaka chaturthi and sankaranthi were not.

Scene 4:
One fine day Honorable researcher gets a message like this" Recharge now with Rs.88 and call any STD mobile at Re.1/minute.Offer will be activated within 24 hrs of recharge." so HR recharges with Rs.88..The next day he calls his home chats for long time and was surprised to see that he is still charged at rs.2.40 a min..Again he calls the CC and starts blasting as to why the offer was not activated within 24hrs..But as usual gets some irresponsible(but seemingly polite) replies from CC guy who says it will be definitely activated the next day..But the tomorrow he said came after 17 days..

A request to Hutch Bangalore (Bengaluru to be precise)
I understand and appreciate that u do business for earning money..But please dont cheat your customers to earn
money..Respect their privacy and dont disturb them unnecessarily.

P.S
Recently Vodafone has acquired Hutch and I hope the new management gives some relief to Blore Hutchians..
